Established in 1971, the House of Genji provides delicious
japanies Tappan (meaning cooked on iron) dining with flair
in the heart of the Silicon Valley.
You'll begin with salad, lightly dipped in a special house
dressing that is freshly made daily; and soup, sipped japanese style.
Then the chef grills onions and zucchini with salt, pepper, butter and
sake, juggling grills condiments and flashing knives all the while.
Guests select a meal from prawns, slamon, scallop, lobster, chicken
and three types of beef. After you choose-the combination of filet mignon
and prawns is particularly popular- the chef's knife flies, redusing
meat and fish to delectable bite-size pieces. This is when the chef,
with a celebrated flip of his spatula, tosses your meal onto your plate
in an artful climax. Then scrumptious cuisine grilled to complete the
main course. The scrumptious cuisine and superb culinary stunts
are both memorable and mesmerizing.
